Reasons for the improper working of Network controller in Samsung R620.

Network controller is the hardware device which supports the network devices in the system to access the network. This allows the computer to share information with other devices in the same network. Since it provides support or both physical connection and data communication, the network controller is considered both as a physical layer and a data link layer. Network controller works by using the MAC address in the system. This address is uniquely assigned to each of the systems in the network. The Ethernet controller is the most common network controller today and this is used in the Ethernet to provide proper support for accessing the network. The network controller in the system might refuse to work sometimes. This would prevent the entire network connection and thus the system would not be able to connect to the network.

Following are the reasons for the non working of network controller:
  • System settings changes
  • Network driver failure
  • Failure of other network components

System settings changes

The changes in the system settings might affect the network controller. Operating System is the main part which influences the network controller. If the users upgrade the Operating System, then the environment of the network controller would be changed. This change in the basic environment would prevent the network controller from proper working. The up-gradation of network controller also would make this type of incompatibility issues.

Network driver failure

Network controller works under control of one particular driver software. Only if the driver works properly, the network controller could work. The driver might fail at times due to some types of internal issues. These include incompatibility, infections, conflicts etc. if any of such issues prevent the driver from working, then the network controller Would not work.

Failure of other network components

The other network components such as router, switch etc also affect the network controller. If these devices do not work, then also the network controller would fail to work. Only if all those devices work together, you could connect the system to the network. if the router is placed away from the system, then the network controller could not recognize the router and so the connection fails.
